1. What GrowthLens Does

GrowthLens helps website owners, creators, and businesses audit their online presence. For YouTube audits, GrowthLens can analyze public YouTube channel signals and, when a user chooses to connect their Google or YouTube account, authorized YouTube account data.

GrowthLens uses YouTube API Services. Use of YouTube-connected features is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information about Google's privacy practices is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Google Sign-In Data

When a user signs in with Google, GrowthLens may access basic Google profile information such as name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.

GrowthLens uses this information to identify the user’s account, manage account access, apply usage limits, and provide a secure signed-in experience.

3. YouTube Data API Access

When a user chooses to connect their YouTube channel, GrowthLens may request read-only access to YouTube channel data. GrowthLens may access channel information, channel statistics where available, recent video titles, recent video descriptions, upload dates, public views, public likes, public comment counts, tags where available, and public channel branding signals.

GrowthLens uses this data to identify the connected channel, generate YouTube audit scores, generate growth recommendations, and create consultant-style reports.

GrowthLens uses read-only access. GrowthLens does not upload, edit, delete, publish, or manage YouTube videos.

4. Private YouTube Analytics Data

When a user chooses to connect their YouTube channel and grants the requested permission, GrowthLens accesses read-only private YouTube Analytics data for the channel owned by that Google account.

This data may include views, watch time, average view duration, average percentage viewed, subscribers gained or lost, likes, comments, shares, and the reporting period associated with those metrics.

GrowthLens currently displays these private metrics separately from its public YouTube audit. Private YouTube Analytics metrics do not currently change the public audit score or become part of AI-generated reports or downloadable PDF reports.

5. Data GrowthLens Does Not Access

GrowthLens does not request access to YouTube monetary analytics, estimated revenue, advertising revenue, RPM, CPM, membership revenue, or Super Chat revenue.

GrowthLens does not request permission to upload, edit, delete, publish, or otherwise manage YouTube videos, channels, comments, playlists, or account settings.

6. How GrowthLens Uses Data

GrowthLens uses public YouTube data and connected-channel information to identify channels, calculate audit scores, identify growth opportunities, generate recommendations, and create user-requested reports.

Private YouTube Analytics metrics are currently displayed separately to the signed-in channel owner. They do not currently change the public YouTube audit score or become part of AI-generated or downloadable reports.

GrowthLens does not sell Google or YouTube user data and does not use private YouTube data for advertising.

7. AI Processing and Service Providers

GrowthLens uses service providers for functions such as authentication, hosting, security, usage management, AI-assisted analysis, and report generation. These providers receive information only when reasonably necessary to provide the requested GrowthLens feature, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

Public audit inputs may be processed by AI service providers to generate user-requested reports and recommendations. GrowthLens does not currently send private YouTube Analytics metrics or Google OAuth access and refresh tokens to AI service providers.

GrowthLens does not use raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived Google or YouTube user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. GrowthLens does not permit its service providers to use this data for generalized AI or machine-learning model training.

8. Data Storage and Protection

GrowthLens may retain limited account and usage information, including the signed-in email address, account plan, usage count, audit type, audit timestamp, session information, and connected channel identifier, when required to operate and protect the service.

Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are maintained in an encrypted, HTTP-only authentication session cookie and are not intentionally exposed to client-side JavaScript.

GrowthLens uses HTTPS encryption for data transmitted between the user, GrowthLens, Google APIs, and necessary service providers. Access to authentication data is limited to server-side processes that require it to provide, secure, or maintain the requested service.

Private YouTube Analytics metrics are fetched on demand for the signed-in user and displayed in the active GrowthLens experience. GrowthLens does not currently persist those private metric values in its application database.

Hosting and security systems may retain limited request metadata for operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security. GrowthLens does not intentionally log OAuth tokens or private YouTube Analytics metric values.

9. User Control, Disconnection, and Revocation

Users may select Disconnect YouTube within GrowthLens. This requests revocation of the Google authorization and removes the YouTube OAuth tokens and granted-scope information from the current GrowthLens session. The user may remain signed in to GrowthLens with their basic Google profile.

Users may also revoke GrowthLens access from their Google Account permissions page:

Google Account permissions

After disconnection or revocation, GrowthLens can no longer fetch newly authorized private YouTube data unless the user reconnects the channel and grants permission again.

10. Data Retention and Deletion Requests

GrowthLens retains account, session, and usage information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, enforce usage limits, maintain security, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

Users may request deletion of their GrowthLens account data and associated connected-channel information by emailing:

support@growthlens.biz

The request should identify the email address used to sign in and clearly state what data the user wants deleted. GrowthLens may request reasonable verification before processing the request.

11. Google API Services Limited Use

GrowthLens's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

GrowthLens uses Google and YouTube user data only to provide or improve user-facing features requested by the user. GrowthLens does not use this data for advertising, sell it, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to providing or securing GrowthLens.

12. Feedback and Support Communications

When a user sends feedback or contacts GrowthLens by email, GrowthLens may receive the user's email address, audit type, rating, comments, and any other information included in the message.

GrowthLens uses this information to respond to support requests, investigate reported problems, evaluate beta feedback, and improve the product. Users should not include passwords, access tokens, payment information, private analytics exports, or other sensitive information in feedback or support emails.
